Support groups and workshops

Helping Minds Workshops offer a diverse array of programs tailored to meet the needs of mental health carers.

Helping Minds offers a wide range of groups and workshops designed specifically for people caring for someone with mental health challenges. Our programs are practical, supportive, and focused on what helps in real life—so you can look after your own wellbeing while continuing in your caring role. Sessions are led by skilled facilitators and grounded in everyday strategies you can use straight away, alongside the chance to connect with others who genuinely “get it”.

We run ongoing support groups for carers as well as groups for young carers and youth, creating safe spaces to share experiences, learn from others, and reduce isolation. Our workshops also cover areas like mindfulness, grounding techniques, stress management, and building healthy routines—helping you strengthen coping skills, set boundaries, and respond to challenges with more confidence.

Programs may include walking groups, peer support initiatives, retreats, wellbeing days, and social outings, with new options added throughout the year. With both in-person and online delivery available, Helping Minds makes it easier to access support in a way that fits around your life—whether you’re looking for practical tools, connection, or simply time to reset and recharge.
