Adult Mental Health Support

If you’re an adult living with mental health challenges, you don’t have to navigate support systems on your own. This page introduces two key options for help:

  • Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) – practical, recovery-focused support for people who may not be eligible for the NDIS

  • SANE Online Forums – a free, moderated online community for peer connection and shared experiences

If you’re looking for NDIS support, you can also head to our NDIS page for information about psychosocial disability and funded supports.

If you need support urgently please contact Lifeline 13 11 14 or if you want guidance about other supports that may be available to you please get in touch.

Do you have a loved one with a mental health challenge?

Are you caring for a family member or friend who may be experiencing a mental health challenge—whether diagnosed or suspected?

Caring for someone with a mental health condition can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming, isolating, and emotionally draining at times. It’s difficult to watch someone you love struggle, and it’s natural to feel stressed, uncertain, or even exhausted as you try to support them.

You are not alone.

We’re here to help you understand more about mental health, what your loved one might be experiencing, and—most importantly—how to look after your own wellbeing as you care for them.
